Chancellor Academy offers an Extended School Year (ESY) Program to promote a student’s retention of previously learned academic knowledge and to promote continued growth in the behavioral, social, and emotional areas identified in their IEP. When it is required, Chancellor Academy and the student’s Child Study Team will develop individual schedules and programs enabling a student to obtain credit for courses that were not successfully completed in the past. The ESY program utilizes the Chancellor Academy Behavior Management Program to promote the achievement of the social, emotional, behavioral and counseling goals in each student’s IEP.  Counselors provide individual counseling and crisis intervention on an as needed basis and weekly group counseling sessions which include social skills instruction.
